Goddard Tea Table

John Townsend Tea Table

A ball and claw foot version of the more common slipper-foot tea table. After an early John Townsend original with his early style of foot carving.  Open-talon feet, one-board top and ogee top molding.

Townsend Slipper-Foot Tea Table

The classic Newport rectangular tea table. A slipper-foot design in the manner of Christopher or early John Townsend, as exemplified by the strong sweep of the leg.

Replicated under an agreement with the Newport Historical Society, the early original was given to NHS by Miss Ellen Townsend (granddaughter of John) in 1884.

Boston Tea Table

A diminutive Boston Queen Anne gem with boldly shaped aprons and long, graceful cabriole legs ending in pad feet.  Originally walnut, but equally striking in mahogany, figured maple, or cherry.

Philadelphia Turret-Top Tea Table

A top dished from the solid with fourteen turrets carried from the legs and aprons.  Four compact Philadelphia ball and claw feet and Rococo carving on the knees.

A scalloped-apron tea table in the Massachusetts tradition with a molded tray top, pad feet, and candle slides. Shown in cherry, but also available in mahogany or maple.

The Newport version of the Rhode Island porringer design.  Slightly splayed legs compensate for the off-center turnings of the tapered legs.  Rounded table top edge.

The porringer-top style of "common tea table" with a Rhode Island design origin.  Turned and tapered legs with rounded, beveled table top edge.
